This new product is made for use on Cruiser-styled windshields and used to make the envelope a little wider for the rider. Perhaps to lessen the windblast on his hands, shoulders or some other area. Two sizes are available, 10" and 15" tall (outside dimension). They may be located to add up to 3" of width to each side of the fairing/windshield in the area where they are attached. These EARs are designed similar to our LIPs so that air flows between the shield and the back side of the EARs. The speed of this airflow is increased as it follows the airfoil and then diffuses the air flowing past the sides of the EARs. This has the effect of making the EARs seem larger than they physically are. These EARs are made for windshields having a simple curve-that is curved in one plane only, side to side, like a piece of paper.
